The fastest calibration furnace in the world!

Additel banner

How does it work?

The Additel 875-155 calibration furnace uses a special heat pipe technology that allows the calibrator to change temperature quickly. This new technology is extremely fast! It reduces the number of thermoelectric modules needed to reach temperatures down to -40°C. This makes the ADT875 very reliable and reduces the precious time needed to get the job done.

Speed

The Additel model ADT875-155 can go from ambient temperature (23°C) to -40°C in less than 20 minutes! It can also go from -40°C back to room temperature in 5 minutes or less!

Accuracy

If the ADT875 is purchased with the process calibration option and if a good quality reference probe is used, it is capable of measuring ±0.010°C @ 0°C (probe accuracy not included). Otherwise, the display accuracy of the model ADT875-155 is ±0.18°C.

What is the process calibrator option?

Each of the ADT875 models can be purchased with our process calibrator option, which provides users with the many features of a HART-documenting process calibrator. This option offers the ability to measure a reference PRT and two DUT (Device Under Test) channels that can measure mA, voltage, switch, RTD or thermocouple. In addition to these measurement functions, the calibrator has full documentation capabilities for creating tasks, storing ‘as found’ and ‘as left’ results and HART communication. You CAN also use the snapshot function to capture information displayed on the screen at the touch of a button to further support documentation requirements.

What temperature ranges does the ADT875 series cover?

Three basic units are available. The ADT875-155 model covers a range of -40 to 155°C, while the ADT875-350 operates in a range of 33 to 350°C and, finally, our ADT875-660 model in a range of 33 to 660°C.

Calibration and Adjustment Whitepaper

The difference between calibration and adjustment

Accurate measuring instruments are essential in any engineering and scientific application. Do you fully understand the difference between calibration and adjustment? This understanding can significantly improve the reliability of your equipment.

The difference between calibration and adjustment

Calibration is the process of comparing the measured values of an instrument to a standard of known accuracy. The purpose of calibration is to establish how accurately the instrument measures. Calibration records any discrepancies between the instrument's measured values and the actual values (as established by the standard).

Justering (or adjusting) is the process of adjusting the instrument so that it falls within the desired specifications. This means that if calibration shows that the instrument does not measure accurately, adjustment actually intervenes in the instrument to correct these deviations.

The difference between traceable and accredited ISO17025 calibration

Accredited calibration is performed by a laboratory formally recognised by an accreditation body to perform certain parameters. (BELAC in Belgium, RVA in the Netherlands, DAkkS in Germany, ...). These institutions ensure that the laboratory meets the international ISO/IEC 17025 standard, which means that the laboratory is competent to perform calibrations of a given parameter and that the calibration results are internationally recognised.

Traceable calibration refers to a calibration process in which measurement results are traceable to recognised references, usually national or international standards, through a continuous chain of comparisons. A traceable calibration ensures that measurements are traceable to standards, but the laboratory does not necessarily undergo the external audits and quality checks that come with accreditation.

Fill in your details below and read the full whitepaper.
