The Fluke SMFT-1000/LITE is an important addition to the Fluke Solar MultiFunction Tester (SMFT) series and comes just a year after the successful launch of the SMFT-1000/KIT and SMFT-1000/PRO. The SMFT-1000/LITE addresses the specific requirements of solar installers looking for a safe, reliable and cost-effective solution to perform IEC 62446-1 Category 1 tests on solar PV installations. Thanks to its coloured test leads and ‘Keep the Leads’ function, the SMFT-1000/LITE can automatically perform mandatory safety tests in less than 30 seconds, in accordance with the international standard for PV installation IEC 62446-1. This includes polarity, continuity and earthing tests (RLO), open circuit voltage (VOC), short circuit current (ISC) and insulation resistance (RINS).
