Fluke 1738 three-phase Power Quality Logger

Features

The Fluke 1738 three-phase Power Quality Logger is a versatile, three-phase Fluke Connect-compatible power logger for conducting energy, load and power quality surveys.

  • Key measurement functions: Automatically measure and log voltage, current, power, harmonics and associated values of mains power quality, and record decreases, increases and inrush currents with high-resolution waveform snapshots of events and effective value (rms) profiles
  • Convenient feeding of the instrument: The instrument is powered directly from the measured circuit
  • Application software Energy Analyze Plus: Download and analyse every detail of energy consumption and power quality status with our automated notification and use the integrated power quality summary to understand the status of the system at a glance

The Fluke 1738 three-phase Power Quality Logger is compatible with Fluke Connect® mobile app and desktop software, giving you the data you need to make critical, real-time power quality and energy consumption decisions immediately. These are the ideal measurement tools for conducting energy surveys and basic recording of power quality. The 1736 and 1738 automatically record more than 500 power quality parameters, giving you a better view of the data needed to optimise system reliability and economy. The Fluke 1738 three-phase Power Quality Logger lets you perform advanced analysis with an enhanced power quality summary function (EN 50160) that gives you quick insight into the overall status of the electrical system. The power quality report is an evaluation of the logged data based on detailed measurements of power quality with display of waveforms of events, so you can see even better how to make the system more reliable and economical.

Installation is easier than ever and reduces measurement uncertainty thanks to an optimised user interface, flexible current probes and an intelligent measurement verification function, allowing you to reduce measurement errors by digitally checking and correcting common connection errors. Remotely view and share data with your team via the Fluke Connect® app, allowing you to maintain safer working distances and make important decisions in real time. This reduces the need for protective equipment, site visits and checks. You can also quickly and easily display measurements in a summary or graph to identify problems, and you can create detailed reports with the included Fluke Energy Analyze Plus software package. Optionally, you can create IEEE519 reports to understand harmonic levels, voltage and current distortion and load current (licence required).

Other useful features:

  • Display data locally on the logger, via the Fluke Connect mobile app and desktop software or via your facility's wireless network
  • Measure all three phases and neutral with four flexible current clamps (included)
  • Feed the instrument directly from the measured circuit
  • Consult measured values during log sessions and before downloading for real-time analysis
  • Includes snapshots of event waveforms and a high-resolution RMS profile at the 1738, along with the date, timestamp and severity to record decreases, increases and inrush current and identify possible root causes of mains power quality problems
  • The 1738 also provides quick insight into the overall status of the electrical system with a summary of mains power quality
  • With a bright colour touch screen for easy field analysis and data checks
  • Helps you always capture the right data with a fast, guided graphical user interface
  • Removes uncertainty about connections with intelligent control function
  • Allows you to specify field settings via the front panel or the Fluke Connect app on your smartphone
  • Provides fully integrated logging with other Fluke Connect devices to log two other measurement data simultaneously on a Fluke Connect* wireless digital multimeter or module
  • Comes with Energy Analyze Plus application software, allowing you to analyse every detail of energy consumption and grid power quality and create automatic reports

Registering the most common parameters

The Fluke 1738 three-phase Power Quality Logger is designed to measure the most critical parameters of three-phase power and can simultaneously record rms voltage, rms current, voltage and current events, voltage and current THD, voltage and current harmonics up to the 50th harmonic, active power, reactive power, power factor, active energy, reactive energy and more. They have enough memory to record more than a year's worth of data and can uncover intermittent or hard-to-find problems that you might otherwise have missed.

Analysis and reporting

Recording data is only one part of the task. Once you have the data, you need to create useful information and reports that can be easily shared and understood by your organisation or your customers. Fluke Energy Analyze Plus software makes this task as easy as possible. With powerful analysis tools and the ability to create custom reports in minutes, you can communicate your results and quickly troubleshoot problems to optimise system reliability and economy.
