TecArc PRO 800 & 1000 Welding Calibrator

Producer: TecArc

The perfect tool for validation of welding machines according to EN 50504-2008 (mandatory for EN-1090 for EXC2 or above)

Calibrator Pro models offer unmatched portability, require no external power supply and can be connected to TIG machines while the HF is working. Our design really speeds up the whole process of setting & testing power sources. Calibrate, test and certify power sources in just minutes.

MIG/MAG, AC/DC TIG/WIG, MMA, SUB ARC, PLASMA welding. (MCAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW).

User-friendly engineering tool with everything needed for calibration and testing according to European and international standards.

The easiest and fastest way to calibrate any type of welding machine. Just connect to the output terminals of your machine and test away!

Multiple load resistors are built into a sturdy aluminium housing, resistors are selected using front-panel switches. Each of the main switches can be operated independently and a 6-step fine adjustment switch provides more precise load settings. The result is a 100 different load values that allow testing of all MIG/MAG, TIG & MMA power sources (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW) up to 800 or 1000A.

Calibrator Pro instrument panels use the most accurate and stable electronics available and the accuracy exceeds the highest requirements of IEC60974-14. This enables precision-level calibration and testing where required. Suitable for the most demanding industries such as nuclear, aerospace, government laboratories, etc.

This wide range of load resistance makes it possible to test all welding processes according to the formula of the volt/amp relationship. For example, with MIG/MAG at 500A, you can reach 39V, with TIG 30V, with SUB ARC 40V, etc. Each load setting is marked with the approximate current rating, but they all withstand high overloads, as often happens when testing welding equipment. Load resistances start at 5Ω and at all loads, the inrush resistance is 0.043Ω for model 800 and 0.033Ω for model 1000A.

Calibrator Pro models use ‘stack effect’ cooling to attract cold air at the bottom and squeeze hot air from the top. This provides exceptional cooling of load resistors, enabling more than 35kw (800 model) (50kw 1000 model) peak load power.

Calibrator Pro 800 features 7 main loads + 6 positions fine control - up to 900A peak power.

Calibrator Pro 1000 is equipped with 8 main loads + 6 modes of fine control - up to 1250A peak power.
