The TDR1000/3P handheld time domain reflectometer (TDR) is a compact, handheld instrument for fault detection in metallic cables. With built-in blocking filters and fused test leads, it has a minimum resolution of 0.1 m and a maximum range of 5 km, depending on the selected velocity factor and cable type.
The TDR1000/3P has four output impedances available (25, 50, 75 and 100 Ω) and a four-way control switch that makes operating the instrument simple and inutive. It also has a speed factor between 0.2 and 0.99, allowing it to meet all cable test requirements.
The instrument has an ‘Auto selection’ option that ensures that the most effective parameters are selected depending on the range required, facilitating quick diagnosis of the TDR trace. Dual cursors offer complete flexibility, giving you full control and a direct indication of the distance between two points. A ‘Hold’ function also allows comparison between different conditions, something most other handheld TDRs do not have. Extra-high resolution combined with white light and grey tones make the graphic display vibrant and help you recognise important events on the track.
