FLUKE T6 Series Electrical Testers

Key features

Measure voltage and current simultaneously, without measuring leads!

  • Safer working: Measure voltage up to 1000 V AC via the open fork, without measuring leads.
  • Faster work: no need to open covers or remove threaded nuts.
  • Work more efficiently: Measure voltage and current simultaneously.
  • Work anywhere: The 17.8 mm open fork is the widest in the industry; it measures up to 200 A at 120 mm2.

The Fluke T6 is the perfect ‘all-in-one’ instrument for troubleshooting, maintenance and service.

Fault finding in electrical systems can be time-consuming and potentially dangerous as it requires access to metal contact points.

With the latest Fluke T6 electrical testers, reliable True RMS measurements can now be made in congested junction boxes or along conductors with inaccessible endpoints.
This saves time, eliminates potential errors and significantly reduces the risk of arc discharge. The robust testers have the safety specification 1000 V CAT III and
600 V CAT IV and feature an easy-to-read backlit display.

How does FieldSensor technology work?

With a capacitive sensor, a voltage signal is measured via the user's hand in relation to earth, without any electrical contact or galvanic connection and completely isolated!

The sensor area of the tester should be close to the measured signal on a live conductor. In this case, both the user's hand and body provide a connection to earth. The electric field (voltage) and magnetic field (current) are recorded. If the earth connection is missing, an earth symbol is displayed on the T6's display.

Test leads should be used in some cases: When the hand or human body is isolated from the earth ground (e.g. by safety gloves) or when the human body is not in contact with the earth ground (e.g. on upper floors in wooden houses), contact with the earth ground should be made by connecting the black test lead (COM) to the earth ground.

Main product characteristics

  • FieldSense technology for measuring AC voltage, current and frequency without making electrical contact with active voltage+
  • Simultaneous display of voltage and current - displays all power measurements at a glance for efficient troubleshooting
  • 1 to 1000 V AC or DC (T6-1000)
  • 0.1 to 200 A AC
  • True-RMS AC voltage and current
  • Resistance 1 Ω to 100 kΩ
  • Frequency measurement 45 Hz to 66 Hz
  • Works with most wires up to AWG 4/0 (120 mm2) with a jaw opening of 17.8 mm
  • The HOLD button temporarily freezes the readout for easy viewing
  • Easy-to-read backlit display
  • Compatible with the optional Fluke TPAK magnetic meter hanging clip for convenient working
  • Two-year warranty as standard; extendable to 4 years by registering the product within 45 days of purchase*

+ Voltage measurement requires a capacitive earth connection, in most applications provided by the user. In some situations, earthing via the measurement lead is required.
* Register the product online within 45 days of purchase to extend the warranty to four years. See http://a.fluke.com/registration for more information. The offer for two-year additional warranty may expire without notice
