RM8 Resistance Decade and total resistance 1.1111111 Megohm, Resolution 0.01 ohm
The model RM8 decade resistance box is intended to complement our range of resistance boxes, offering a very wide range of 0.01ohm 1Megohm in a compact and versatile device. The low decade steps of 0.01ohm sets very high resolution, when simulating resistance values and the power output is 1.0 watts per coil.
The RM8 uses dual pole switching to minimise the effects of contact with resistance. The lower value decade (0.01 and 0.1ohm) are made of manganin resistance wire and the other decades of selected metal film resistors. This offers good stability combined with excellent charge and temperature coefficients. Housed in a hardwood case with metal panel the size is only 254 x 145 x 80 mm and the connections are with 4 mm binding posts that will accept spade or banana plugs.
