The Additel The 780 automatic pressure controller contains the same durability, accuracy and quality in a new desktop controller packed with features and functionality that is remarkably easy to use.

The Additel 780 automatic pressure controller offers two basic ranges: up to 1,000 psi (70 bar) and up to 3,000 psi (200 bar). The basic range defines the maximum control range of the controller. Each configuration includes a control sensor that allows you to pre-select the sensor range best suited for your application. External and internal sensors can be used, allowing for future expansion of range and accuracy.

Modular design
Each unit comes with one Intelligent Pressure Module configured for the many available ranges. The Standard Accuracy sensors (ADT160A-CPXXX) are silicon pressure sensors with a 1-year accuracy of 0.02% FS. The quartz-based Precision sensors improve the 1-year accuracy specification to 0.005% of reading + 0.005% FS. Each sensor is specially aged, tested and screened for assembly. After assembly, each sensor is temperature compensated over a range of -10°C to 50°C. The Additel 780 is capable of one internal pressure sensor and one external pressure sensor. The modular design of this unit allows both the internal and external sensors to be interchangeable with other Intelligent Pressure Modules. In addition to the Intelligent Pressure Modules, the Additel 780 has a built-in barometric sensor. This allows for switching from gauge pressure to absolute pressure.

Standalone solution
Typical pressure calibrators require a nitrogen cylinder for gas supply, making it difficult to move the calibrator without having to connect or move another cylinder. The Additel 780 is unique as with the optional electric pump you can generate pressures up to 1,000 psi (70 bar) without the need for a gas cylinder.

Process functionality
The 780 pressure controller is suitable for a wide range of applications that typically require a pressure calibrator. Its built-in capabilities include current and voltage measurements, 24-volt loop power, HART® and Profibus PA communication, switch measurement capabilities, selectable analogue output, and much more.
