An AC power source, also known as an AC power supply, is a device that can deliver a variable current and frequency to a load. An AC power source provides an alternating electric current that helps to power or test an individual device by simulating grid interruptions, harmonics, spikes or other events that could cause a device under test (DUT) to malfunction. AC power sources are commonly used for electrical testing in aviation, lighting, laboratory testing, the military and in factory production.
